President's message

Welcome to the AMAQ Foundation.

The Foundation was established by AMA Queensland in 2000 to facilitate a charitable organisation created by the medical profession, other queenslanders and our corporate supporters.

As doctors, almost everyday we are faced with pain and suffering. Often we find ourselves unable to deliver the services and care patients’ need due to constraints within the public health system. This is particularly true in rural communities.

With the AMAQ Foundation we have created a vehicle for delivering vital medical services outside those catered for by the health system. The Foundation helps us to go that extra mile for our patients, with the backing of financial support provided by members of the medical profession and the Queensland community.

The AMAQ Foundation is a unique and innovative mode of delivering medical care to those who need it most.
